Kari Bogusch is passionate about helping organizations work smarter, not harder. With over 20 years of experience in healthcare operations, administration, and process improvement, she has built a career on turning complex challenges into opportunities for growth, efficiency, and better outcomes. Kari combines her clinical science background with deep expertise in Lean Six Sigma, change management, and data analysis to design practical, sustainable solutions that save money, improve quality, and strengthen organizations from the inside out.

Kari’s first consulting experience came during her Master of Healthcare Administration program, where she interned at a major hospital and led a project to redesign and consolidate scheduling processes. That early success — improving efficiency and reducing bottlenecks in a critical system — set the stage for her career as a trusted advisor and process improvement leader.

Since then, Kari has spearheaded large-scale transformation initiatives with the measurable results executives value, including:

  • Generating over $20 million in cost savings across multiple facilities through enterprise-wide Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Facilitating a seven-facility patient flow optimization project, improving access and reducing delays in care delivery.
  • Leading more than 15 Kaizen events that streamlined supply chain operations, care coordination, and clinical delivery systems.
  • Driving $5 million in resource reallocation by coaching and certifying Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt candidates.
  • Serving as Change Management lead for the Clinical Contact Center implementation, transforming patient engagement.
  • Expanding telehealth services through process redesign, enabling timely care while improving efficiency.
  • Overseeing acquisitions of advanced medical technologies, including TrueBeam and CyberKnife systems, ensuring multimillion-dollar purchases were efficient, compliant, and strategically aligned.
  • Redesigning core laboratory workflows, cutting A1C turnaround times nearly in half and dramatically improving patient care timeliness.

Kari’s career began in clinical laboratory science, where she honed her skills in precision, compliance, and quality standards. She later expanded into leadership and administration, managing multimillion-dollar budgets, guiding technology acquisitions, and building policies to ensure regulatory and accreditation alignment. This combination of frontline and executive experience gives her a unique ability to see the “big picture” while understanding the operational details that make systems work.

Known for her collaborative, hands-on leadership style, Kari excels at engaging executives, frontline staff, and cross-functional teams to bridge strategy and execution. She builds cultures of continuous improvement that deliver sustainable results.

Kari holds a Master of Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Texas Woman’s University. She recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistics at Texas A&M University and earned her Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification, complementing her Project Management, Prosci Change Management, and ASCP certifications. Her leadership, mentorship, and teaching have been recognized with multiple awards, including the Texas Tech Outstanding Clinical Instructor Award, a Special Contribution Award, and several honors for innovation and service excellence.

Outside of work, Kari is a wife and mother of three, actively involved in her local school system and dedicated to supporting children in her community. She and her family share their home with four energetic dogs and enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and making lasting memories. Her personal values of family, service, and curiosity fuel her professional drive to keep learning, growing, and helping others succeed.
